this photo proves what a dork I am

About 30 seconds after I told Dan I needed a picture for my blog.

There have been some crazy winds in Southern California the last couple-few days. Our power was out for a bit yesterday but we didn't have any damage here. This afternoon I discovered that the wind delivered unto us some of the biggest tumbleweeds I've ever seen. Dan said we should make a snowman out of them. Er, a tumbleweedman, as it were.

Reminds me of the beginning of The Big Labowski.

Those are HUGE!

I like the tumble weed/snow man idea. You will be the only house in your neighborhood with one of THOSE!

Go for it!

The trick would be keeping him from blowing away ;)

Wow. That wind delivered some freaky stuff and a lot of destruction.
And I love the photo. Sense of place.

I don't think you can keep tumbleweeds in captivity. It goes against their nature.

Those tumbleweeds are humongorous!! And here in my neck of the woods you never would have known anyone in SoCal was dealing with winds. It was eerily quiet and wind free!
