on the line

I have [FINALLY] joined the ranks of line dryers. It was so hot out that those sheets took all of about 10 minutes to dry -- at the most. Go sun! I got 2 retractable clotheslines for $9 each. Not bad. The lines themselves are plastic coated which allows things to slide if the wind picks up, which it invariably does. Not crazy about that, but so be it.

Good for you Steph. There really is something about line dried linens...

You need tighter pegs! By the way, your washing and your house look just lovely.

Oh me too. And it turns out it's about the only household chore I actually like. I'd forgotten. When we got solar panels put up we got a running graph of our usage and -- makeage? -- and the usage spikes for the clothes dryer were hideous. Scary. You could puncture yourself on them. So I hung out a string and I'm happy. It's getting to be so normal that I think I'll get some of those wooden racks to put up inside for the winter, too.

I would join the ranks of line dryers, but I live in a condo & it's against the rules. Dang!
