Mumford and Sons - Little Lion Man

I really fucked it up this time
didn't I my dear?

Another by these beautiful freaks here.

I like this one too. Actually, it gives me the chills.

You know what... just buy the record.

Wow, these guys are incredible! But I guess you know that.

Since I broke up with my favorite music-lover-boy some years ago, i've been really out of the loop of wonderful new music. But now I have you! If you are up for it, I'd love to see a post-list or maybe an email of your top 20 fave artists... I need a list you see because I have no dollars to buy now, so I have to keep it for when I do! Or when I buy presents, etc..

You got good taste girly. Thanks for sharing.

My list of favorites probably wouldn't have anything on it you haven't heard of... stuff like Dave Matthews and Pearl Jam beginning from when I was in high school, and also Van Morrison and some early seventies stuff.

New stuff doesn't make the list, not that I don't love it... but if they've only put out one record, I guess I want to see what's to come.

But these guys are great. If you like them, you might also like the Avett Brothers. I posted one by them here and here.

Eh, that second link is worthless. Anyway, The Avett Brothers don't have one thing that makes Mumford and Sons extra special... trumpets! I LOOOOVE trumpets and that is part of the reason the band Cake would be on my list of faves -- very near the top of the list. Like this one.

Thanks Steph... I guess when I say new i also include guys like these who have likely been around a while on a certain scene. We don't have good radio where I live...

I also adore Cake. You seem to know a lot of alternative bands and some genres that are not publicized much... or maybe I am just so WAY out of it. You strike me as an offianato of sorts.

Anyway thanks for the info!

I get most of my good stuff from my favorite channel on satellite radio which I SWEAR BY. LOVE IT. SERIOUSLY. We have TERRIBLE radio reception here and it is totally worth it (to me) to pay for it.
